Bring gloves, water and boots. We will also need shovels, racks, maclouds, hoes, pick
axes, and polaskis. John plans on hitting the first downhill trail on the
south side of the road. There are about a dozen dirt jumps that need to
be removed.

Take Highway 30 West from Portland. When nearing Scappoose, Make a left on Rocky Point Road, just past the truck scales.

 

Just looking for people who want to ride Scappoose trails. Just anytime on weekend works for me. Just wanted to set up informal rides on days there are none on calendar. I have riden a few times with John Joy and live on oppositte side of town thta he does here in Scappoose. 

Just looking for anybody wanting to ride tomorrow morning. Should be nice out still and beat the heat before it gets to hot. Want to get a good ride but not to hard since i am breaking in my back still from injury. first good ride off road since i hurt it. About 3-4 weeks ago, my brother and I were riding the Rocky Point Rd. trails, and we were checking out the "freeride structures".

While we were observing the gap jump, after the right hand berm...

I happen to look to the right, & at the base of this large tree, there were two owls.  They were white or very lt. grey, and they were just standing on the ground, almost cuddled up together... But both of them starring wide-eyed back at us.

Is this a common occurance around there?  Has anyone else spotted these owls?
