PUMP has contributed a Letter of Support to the Columbia County Forests, Parks, and Recreation Department efforts to create the Crown Zellerbach Trail, a public trail corridor between the cities of Scappoose and Vernonia along the former Crown Zellerbach Logging Road.

Great weather again for building. Area was still pretty soggy from previous days rain but that just made digging post holes easier!

Was a good cross-section of local mountain biking groups represented - Bernie with Trailhead Cycles (Hillsboro), Paul with Barlow Bikes (Vernonia/Saint Helens), Joe and Ryan of Westside Trail Federation (Hillsboro), and John Joy of Portland United Mountain Pedalers (Portland) as well as Scott of Vernonia City parks.

Focus will be on the Beginner skill line and gathering materials (recycled from old mill site).  Here's what the beginner line should look like when we are finished working that day (there's much more to come!)...
