XC or Short Track Racing in August/September? (forum)

Would lopve to do some XC racing in Washington/Oregon.
Is there any kind of race series that goes on in late summer fall?

getting dirty after a loooong hiatus, looking4 ride partners (forum)

I have been shown the error of my ways, though my old Kona Lava Dome was unforgiving. He is now being coverted to a single speed, and I've just spent some time falling in love with dirt on my new 29er in Moab and Fruita. There was SUN there! You remember sun? That warm, orange-ish thing in the sky?
Bear Springs Trap 5/16-17 (forum)
Submitted by bd on Mon, 05/12/2008 - 10:32am.The bear springs trap xc race is on 5/17 (Sunday). The flyer states that you can pre ride the course on 5/16 (Saturday). I did this race a few years ago and enjoyed the trails. I was thinking about doing the pre ride since I'm more interested in checking out the trails then the race. I'm concerned that it may still be buried in snow. Does anyone know what the snow levels are like before I attempt a trek out there?
