Northwest XC Mountain Bike Challenge

I'm thinking of traveling down to Diamond Lake to do the NW CHallenge XC race. I've heard mixed reviews about this race from last year's participants. I also hear the trails are great and the views stunning. Looking for riders who want to go down Friday and return Sunday that weekend. Details on the race are still sketchy, ,but hopefully will be posted soon. What little data athere is can be found here:

I'll be racing expert, but would be happy to drive 1-2 others, whether racing or not, just for riding/camping company share gas costs.

Mixed reviews?
NW XC Challenge
It is far away. I am planning to camp Fri-Sun and combine it with road riding Crater Lake the following day and maybe hitting Umpqua RiverTrail on the way back on Monday. EPIC weekend of riding in other words.
The mixed reviews were racers who got lost on the course because it wasn't well marked and the beginner's course being mostly a road. This year's course has about 85% dust-free alpine singletrack. Most of it looks pretty buff (i.e. fast).
I still have room if anyone is down with camping a few days. Of course, we'dd have to meet and make sure we all speak the same language!
