wanted: front fork w/ a 1" steer tube (is that the correct terminology?)

I'm helping a friend get back into mountain biking and he has a great hard tail frame (kline pinnacle circa 1990).  I'm looking for a replacement fork that will fit. (all new forks come w/ 1 1/8 or larger steer tube).
