Mt Hood Trails / Surveyor's Ridge Info

CAMBA reports 8 mile, Surveyor's Ridge, and Knebal as open. 15 mile still closed as of yesterday. Has anyone been out there to know what the blowdown is like on those trails? Is it still pretty hike-a-bike or clear?

I just moved the information on this into the correct Forum area.  It was in the Advocacy and Politics area.  There is an update from Ranger Jim.

Sounds like Knebal is open and part of Surveyor's is.

Surveyor's Ridge clear N. of USFS 680

Was riding this fine trail on sunday, 6-15 and the top section (trail start to USFS rd. 680) has significant blow-down. USFS 680 runs somewhat perpendicualr to USFS 17 which parallels the trail for several miles. You can take 17 to USFS 680 and drop in to the trail. A bunch of trees were cleared during the work day on the 7th from 8 mile and knebal however the guys with saws said that there were a few trees to big for their machines. Dog River is clear.
