new to Portland

I just recently graduated from Purdue and will be moving to Portland at the start of July. I grew up in Texas and did a lot of riding and racing there, but I haven't done much mountain biking here in Indiana. I'm looking to get back into mountain biking when I get to Portland and thought I would say hi to the group. I look forward to meeting everyone and going for some great rides. I think my head might explode with excitement in Oregon after being here in flat, boring Indiana for four years.

P.S. Does anyone have any hike or bike suggestions for Arches NP, Glen Canyon NRA, Grand Canyon NP, Rocky Mountain NP or Yosemite NP? I'm driving from Purdue to Denver, picking up my roommate Alex there, and then hitting the sites before eventually heading to Portland.
